That much water isn't a big deal, plenty of us here have gotten our feet wet - literally - while offroading, myself included, and had our trucks live to tell about it.
The fact that this one went swimming doesn't really bother me, but the salvage title basically means you get no resale value whatsoever. So at that price, with that title, absolutely not.

I got wet a few times in other vehicles. The big questions are.
How long was it wet? (hours, days?)
What kind of water was it? (salt?)

That price is way too high for a salvage title. Pass on this one.

I paid like 1,700 more than that for a brand new TRDOP. No effing way I'd ever touch that. It looks to be missing the rear power outlet, wrong tires and seems to sit lower which makes me suspect the suspension was taken.

As a general rule - salvage title = 50% of non salvage value. In a 4runner a salvage might get a bit more. But not $36k. Probably not $26k. Maybe $20.

That's laughable. There's a reason that insurance company called it a total loss, and it is NOT simply because the carpet got wet, as this dealer makes it seem.
