Used tire?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a single KO2 (265/75/16) to mount on my spare wheel. Wondering if you guys might have some resources for used tires I can check out. They would have to be willing to ship to me. I'd rather not spend money on a brand new one right now since my other 4 still have good tread on them. Otherwise I'm just going to end up buying 5 new ones. :yuck:

Do you have any used tire shops in your area? Near the junkyards where I live, there's a couple that take off all the tires of vehicles being sent to the wreckers. You pay based on how much tread is left, the brand of tire, etc.

Craigslist is also a great place to check, set up a search and get notified when your keywords pop up in a listing.

This. Does it have to be a KO2? Most tire shops will have used tires in a common size like that just laying around. I got my spare for $25 including mounting and balance from a local shop, but it's a Goodyear all terrain of some sort.

CL is a good idea. Hadn't thought of that. I see there are a couple used tire shops about 30 minutes from me as well so I'll be exploring those. Thanks!
