Used V6 pricetag

I found a pretty good looking 2000 TR4 engine with 130,000 miles on it thinking of picking it up... I have no need for the engine but was wondering what a used engine typically going for in other areas. Thinking about just picking it up for a investment engine. Anyone made a purchase lately

The price seems cheaper than a what's charged as a core. But that's here in California where everything is over priced.

$200? Just get it if you have the storage space. Not like the 3.4 needs a spare but it's only $200, i dropped $500 on my last junkyard 3.4.

He "just wants it gone" translation: offer him $150. If you have the storage, go for it. In a couple years pm me when you just want it gone and I'll come get it :p

... actually I'd take it now as a project just to learn how these engines work, but i don't have the tools/space/time yet to do it.

I'm actually in the market for a new engine too, would probably be worth picking up instead of trying to buy a JDM for the price. Worth the risk for sure. If you're not interested, let me know because I may have to hop on it depending on whether if I can make it to Tennessee any time soon.

Heh, come to Nashville, there's 3 of us in my suburb and one in the burb next door :)
Yea so far I've come across one guy in Chattanooga that just joined the group, do u ever venture east to windrock. Now u want to see what your rigs got thats the place its to rich for my blood cause that the place to go break stuff ha ha but its fun to explore.

I would love to know where that graveyard is.

I really don't know if I could get to that motor in time. Saturday is the only day I could drive to Knoxville and that can only happen if I'm able to get my brakes sorted out today. I don't have a lot of faith in that happening.

Is that your 4Runner on the youtube?
