using fog lights as daytime running lights

Wow,you responded to thread that's almost 3 years old and now the government is reconsidering DLRs as they seem to be causing more confusion and conflicting with emergency vehicle lights more than they are helping according to studies and probably won't be required on cars in another year or two.

The problem with DLRs is if you buy a set of premium bulbs they just burn out faster.

Since I have had my Runner about a month, and a New Member of this great forum about the same time, these are all NEW posts to me. :wink2: And it has given me some great garage time with my new to me toy, and to get to do some mods that just make sense.

This Fog Mod is one I will use daily, for I too enter a parking garage everyday.

Yea it's still great info though and took me a while to get around to it on my 06 - decided to do it last night, took 10 mins as I said, and I wish I'd done it 3 years ago!

Very interesting re: DRLs. I've never been a fan as I ride motorcycles too and having the headlight on in daylight USED TO make you stand out and hopefully therefor safer. DRLs just make people 'learn' to block out yet another piece of information overloading their senses. (in the cities anyway).

I for one hope they can 'em ASAP
