Using Premium Fuel ??

I am thinking about buying a used 4Runner in the years 2000 to 2005 range. Do these years require premium fuel?

Be careful on those year ranges! because up to 2002 thats 3rd generation, I have one of those and they aren't as nice as 4th gen, but I must say it is a lot more reliable. And 2003-2009 are the 4th gens. Just letting you know that your range includes two different generations! Good luck with you buy...and for fuel, they all call for just regular unleaded (87)

I have an 03 and my owners manual says 91 and above

Ive never run anything but 87 in any car or truck including my wifes deville. Never had a speck of trouble.

None that I know of.. besides your typical TSBs and such I have never had a problem with my 4G... and I've been S/C'd for over 40K miles.
