Using the alarm

Hello,

I recently got my hands on a 97 sr5, but don't really know how to use the alarm system...

The previous owner said something about pressing the clutch, starting the car & pressing defrost to disarm it.

I could use some help, please as I'd like to actually turn it on lol =)
