Utah SLC and Zion , Trails

Might be heading up to SLC and to Zion.
Anyone know of any scenic trials I can go 4x4 around SLC to Zion?
If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Utah is a big state, and Salt Lake to Zion covers most of it. Check out Utah Backroads and Byways, and the Utah Trails series.



Time of year matters, the mountain trails will be snowed in for a couple months yet...

Snow

We are stopping in SLC and then to Zion for snowboarding. The main reason we are visiting Utah soon is for the snow.
I was just wondering if there were any places close to SLC and Zion incase I get a day off the slopes and I wanted to do a little 4x4. Good point about the snow it could make the trails dangerous.
