V-HID's?

I know everyone on here is a big fan of the xenondepot kit and frankly I don't blame them, their presence on this site is overwhelming and I have read nothing but praise about their kit. That being said, a friend just ordered this V-HID kit for his fogs on a different car and I was wondering if anyone has these installed in the 4R and what your impressions are?

they are much cheaper then anywhere else, and they work just as good. lifetime warranty. any customer service was the best ive had ever. i told them i had one bulb come in cracked, all they ask for was the type of bulb and the Kelvin rating. they sent me TWO new bulbs and 2 new stickers free of charge. installation was a breeze also....no cuts just plugin, tape or bolt the igniter/ballast.
 
I'm not familiar with the actual V-HID kit itself but I am familiar with the ballast you are using. You're better off going with the Volt kit. You're saving $50 on the price of the kit and you're getting a better ballast. It's hard to tell from the picture what bulb precisely they are using.

Just gotta put a little plug in here for Xenon Depot ... :)

For a lot of us, buying aftermarket parts is a crap shoot. Even silly clunky parts like a bull bumper will spawn threads of discussions on quality, fit, etc.

But when a company steps up and sponsors a board I like, that's a +1. Add in competent responses to even products they don't support, +1.

IF their product has problems (use the search button) the response has been public and their subsequent support stellar. Not many companies put themselves out there and fail to support their customers in a public forum - and last.

But yeah, $50 saved in one spot, may be $50 you spend in another. But these guys have supported t4r.org for a while, support us as enthusiasts and well, I'd support them in the future.

So yeah, shameless plug :)

I totally agree and plan on getting the Extreme Kit with the Phillips bulbs from XenonDepot when the time comes. I just had a friend order that V-HID kit and was curious what others thought, but so far he is not impressed. It is not plug and play as advertised, and they sent him an 8000k kit when he ordered a 5000k kit. He isn't thrilled, but since I and many others on the board are happy with V-LED's LED's I figured their HID kit was likely decent as well....

:iagree: most of us here bought a 4Runner for quality, dependability and reliability. The same should apply when choosing mods and accessories for the 4Runner.
