i just got back from a 860 miles trip up the northern coast of california starting from my home in the bay area. when i usually drive in 2wd mode i get about 330 miles per tank (give or take a few) so my first few tanks thats what i was getting. so then the weather started getting really bad on the coast when i was on hiway 1, so i switched to 4wd mode since it handles a whole lot better in the rain that way. so after two tankfuls (after every tank i reset all of the computers settings) i was getting about 330 miles per tank. for some reason i thought the gas mileage would be alot worse if i was in 4wd mode? have anyone else came across this before? and what is the reasoning???
