Hey all,
I've been browsing this forum for awhile and finally have a question to ask
I own a 2005 SR5 V6 and have been jealous of the V8s driving around with the cool "V8" badge on their grille. I finally came across a "V6" badge on ebay that looks very similar in style to the "V8" badge. It needs a little bit of work before I can put it on my grille -- the indentations on the badge (obviously) don't match up with my grille, so I'll have to do some dremel work on it.
Here's a pick of the emblem front and back (the seller had multiple V6 emblems):
My question is how does the V8 emblem mount onto the grille? Do the V8 grilles have a bracket that the V6's don't have? Or is it a part I can get from Toyota? I talked to the parts dept at the local dealer and he thought that the grilles were different. The V6 emblem I found on ebay has a threaded hole in the back for a screw, but it didn't come with a bracket of any kind.
Any help would be appreciated -- thanks!
