V6 owners - RWD vs 4WD modes

A front wheel drive car tends to understeer and a rear wheel drive tends to oversteer around corners.
Our V6 4Runner is 4WD or RWD, depending on which mode you have selected. At times, when I have it at RWD mode, and turn onto an uphill incline the rear wheel spins a bit. Also, of course a lot less traction when I floor the vehicle on wet pavement using RWD mode.

My question is, what are your experiences using the two different modes?
Does 4WD mode feel more like a front wheel drive car when corning?

IMHO, yes and no. More stable, but even better than FWD. I'm full time 4wd. Have been since 8/14 when I Bought my runner. I came from an '99 explorer that was RWD with 4wd on "auto" with 4hi and 4lo as the other choices on the selector.

No, more like RWD.

That's the purpose of the 60-40 rear/front Torsen center differential torque split -- to maintain a bit of RWD driving feel.
