I would like to change my own spark plugs. I have done multiple unsuccessful searches for write-ups on this. Does anyone know of any or willing to write a few bullet point son this? I am no mechanic, but I installed my CAI and do my own oil changes. I would also be interested in information on how to replace the PCV valve.

I can't find the write-up on the plugs but I know it's here somewhere.... Net is, it's very easy to do. Just don't over-torque the coil bolts or the plugs.

Replacing the plugs is super easy especially if you have a cai the only part that is kind of a pain is the drivers side you have to loosen the black bracket that goes from the head to get to the sparkplug and make sure you don't over torque the plugs and it might be a good idea to put anti seize on them I forgot to do it when I did mine I am just hoping they will come out easily the next time I do it. the dealer ship charges 120 dollars to do it it took me all of about 20 min and I actually bought the plugs from the dealer which was about 30 bucks and you will notice when you pull the plugs there will be ngk on side and denso on the other for some reason toyota did that I put all denso plugs back in runs great and has for the 5,000 miles. Thanks for the input. will i have to gap the plugs? If so how is this done. I bought the denso iridiums IKH20. Do I need to worrying about the timing chain? Does anyone have any links for the procedure..I have never done this. What tools do I need other than a spark plug socket and a ratchet? Thanks people.

If you bought the plugs from the dealer specifically for your vehicle you won't need to gap them. You might need a small flat head screwdriver to pry the connector off the spark pluck wire on top of the head other then that sparkplug socket ratchet and an extension and small hands help to. Oh and if you didn't buy the plugs from the dealer I am pretty sure the gap they should be is in the owners manual. If you put your cold air intake on you should have no problem changing plugs just make sure you don't cross thread them into the head. Oh and no you don't have to worry about the timing belt maybe replace it if you have over a 100k
