One of the biggest reasons you change your oil is because it gets dirty right? Well, synthetic oil is going to get just as dirty just as fast as conventional oil. When it gets dirty you change it.
As I said, I do plan to switch to synthetic and also plan to stick to Toyota's 5,000 mi OCI.
