V8 Emblems

Hey all,
I just got a used 04 Sports Edition 4Runner. The one thing that I noticed is it didn't come with the V8 badge. So I was wondering if it was suppose to come with it or not? Also, does anyone know where I can buy the emblem?

The front grille should have a badge.

The v8 badge is labeled as number 10.

Plenty of other sites that are clones of the same toyota parts catalog, i don't expect prices to vary much though.

Did you get a V8 most 4Runners are V6. Open the hood, what does it say?

Yes, I got the V8. 4.7 L, 4WD V8. I find it ridiculous how it didn't come with the V8 badge so I was just wondering.

aftermarket grill ??? maybe it was in a wreck at some point, and the V6 grill is cheaper, dont know. just a thought

Do you really need the V8 emblem?

Even if it came w/ it, I would remove it to have the sleeper/stealth look.

I wouldnt because its not like the V6's have emblems.

Well, I dont NEED it but I think it just looks nicer to have it. The thing that confused me was why it didn't come with the V8 badge. I bought it from the Toyota Dealer so its certified and I feel safe buying it.

Sometimes you don't get everything that comes in it when it comes to "Used" cars.

I think that emblem just slides onto the grille a certain way and then bolts on or something. It should be an easy installation.

Some people take off that emblem, so it's not that surprising that it's missing.

the v8 embelem has little plastic tabs that connect it to the grill. I was going to remove mine, but found that it helps hide some of the stainless steel tubing for the AC.
