V8 spark plug question

Can anyone tell me what the stock OEM plugs are for the V* 4.7 liter engine? Partznet has them listed for over $10 bucks but they don't list whether they are NGK's or what. Autohausaz has both NGK and Denso plugs for about $7.82 a plug. Thanks

I changed mine this past weekend. I had DENSO Iridiums installed and they were definitely at their end of life. I opted for a set of NGK Iridium IXs - BKR6EIX-11 to replace them.
From what I've read on here stick with Iridium plugs in either DENSO or NGK. And DO NOT run platinum plugs.
I used the NGK part finder to see what was available for mine. NGK Spark Plugs USA
Also here's the DENSO listing. DENSO SPARK PLUGS

Denso are OEM and are better than NGK's.

$80 every 120000 miles is nothing - c'mon

Maybe it varies by specific 4th gen model year, but the 2k3 owner's manual specs both NGK and Denso parts as OEM. There have been plenty of reports of half-n-half V-6 motors in both 3rd and 4th gens; can't remember for sure if I've seen any V-8 owners confirm NGK/Denso split motors. I'd have no problem going with whichever's easier/cheaper to get.

Spark plug type:
1GR–FE engine
DENSO K20HR–U11
NGK LFR6C11
2UZ–FE engine
DENSO SK20R11
NGK IFR6A11

No, only the V6 had split plugs. V8 is Denso throughout. The entire ignition system on the V8 is from Denso.

I think both NGK and DENSO are solid. I only went with NGK since they were $1-2 cheaper than the DENSOs.
When I pulled the DENSOs one was about shot. The coil pack for that cylinder was covered in black soot and the tip was beginning to fowl. Evidently the porcelin was cracked or something since it was allowing blow by.
Though given my V8 has 118k I'm assuming these were the original plugs. Sounds like good long life to me.

I had half Denso and half NGK in my V6 and I can tell you for sure that the Denso plugs were in better shape than the NGK when I removed them at 30,000 miles. So I chose to replace them all with the Denso plugs.

I think every single V6 4Runner (4th gen) came from the factory with both Denso & NGK plugs in it.
