Cold start engine sounds.
My old V8 would have a particular "rumble" upon initial start up until the rpm settled under 1k. I always attributed it to my ballasts which had fallen off where I put them with sticky tape so I figured they vibrated and I heard the resonance until the rpm settled to under 1k.
Fwd to my new V8 and I notice the same thing upon start up before I put in the hid kit. Like something is loose and from the initial 2k-1k rpm settling after start up. Nothing is loose, so what could this noise be? It goes away once the rpm drop to normal warm idle.
I'm currently using Mobil 1 oil filters and am thinking to try an OEM filter just for grins to see if there is any change in this noise. Anyone else have a similar noise on start up?
