I have the 3vze 3.0 v6. I decided to replace the stock valve cover seals and do some cleaning. Most of the emissions stuff was already disabled from the last time I did some repairs so I removed all of it to free up some space.
Attached is a pic with a small bolt that holds a bracket. If you remove said bolt, please reinstall it as it will leave a hole and let the engine suck air in. You may be trouble shooting your engine for almost 4 hours befor you find it too....
:ybrick:

(pic is not my engine, found it on google.)
I'll post some in the morning of mine.

I would if the trans could stand more than 180 lb·ft of torque. An Efi Sbc 350/383 with a low geared 4/5 speed would do nicely.
I've not heard of a reliable daily driver with that kind of combo.

I guess I should have ask what are the benefits of removing the EGR and air valve??? I took mine off and got a 800 rpm increase and a noise that I have been chasing went away.

I called Toyota and found out that the EGR valve was only for highway speeds and was not supposed to be functioning at idle, that was causing my knock and miss. When I installed my headers I went through a lot of trouble to hook it up, cutting and bending pipe, welding, only to find out now that it was not necessary. Now I need to find out about the air valve.....I think they are still mad about the war.
