Vacuum line near shifter on R150F MT?

Swapping a drivetrain and noticed a nipple near the trans shifter that looks like it's for a vacuum hose. there was a disconnected hose in the donor vehicle that looked like it routed to this general area.

Picture with the hose attached, not sure if this is right, or where it routes on the other end.

Offhand I can't think of any reason why a manual trans would have a vacuum line. But a breather hose yes. Have you traced this "vacuum" line to see where it goes? And does it have a vacuum on it when disconnected?
