Valve Cover Breather Hose Loose

I did my valve cover gaskets a week ago and noticed that the 90* elbow that the hose from the intake pipe connects to on the drivers side valve cover is loose. Not terribly, fall out loose, but loose enough that you can just wiggle it out.

the area around it has sweat marks of oil but not not nearly enough to produce a drip. However yesterday I did a smoke test (for a different reason) and found that it leaks air pretty heavily.

Am I missing some gasket, o-ring, or other retaining/sealing mechanism here?
Can I just use a bit of FIPG on it?

Are you talking about the PCV grommet? If so they're about a dollar at an auto parts store

The metal elbow that hose connects to is part of the vc comes attached welded from factory There is a factory hose that fits on it without any clamps and the other end goes to a metal hose on top of the plenum. It's either a hack job by some one previous. You need a driver side valve cover. a salvage yard oem would be best value or oem. Replace the vc gaskets and spark plug tube gasket also fpig the half moons while you are are it.

The hose that should be there is the air vent in for crank case # 12262-62050. It has built in synch collar that grabs on to the valve cover nipple without using any clamps so it's sealed.

thx guys. The valve cover gaskets including half moons, cam plugs, spark plug seals, injectors, etc etc are already done.

Im gonna try shoving it in more, if it still leaks i'll add some kind of sealant

The vibrations will loosen it no matter how much sealant you put on it and it will suck in air.
