Valve cover off did not reveal source of tick/knock

I really expecting to find rocker arms knocking but now I see how it works. I had to get it back together to head to work. I did not check any shim gaps but I did trn it over with the cover off. The only thing found out of the ordinary was a few shavings back by the #6 farthest back lobe(exhaust?) while poking around with a magnetic bolt retriever. Any guess what is knocking?

Do you have a way of posting a video?

It's really hard to diagnose a noise over the internet without being able to hear it. Your idea of a knock may be different than mine or any others.

just make sure when you take a video to keep the recording device (phone, camcorder, etc) back out of the fan so that we can hear the knock and not just the air. I'm interested if your knock is the same as mine, i suspect a lifter is a little off, but my dad say's it's nothing and i trust him.
