Saw you mentioned possibly getting a 2018 Camry hybrid...car is a total home run. If you haven't had the chance yet, take one for a test drive. It's sporty and aggressive enough but gets you the mpg you'll need, totally new platform too it's a great ride overall. Plus you can stay in the Toyota family!

Oh yeah, didn't take the Colorado job, took the massive promotion but triple the commute hence the changes on the 4Runner spending around 120-140 a week on gas for my commute. Actually considering one of the new dual motor hybrids like the accord or 2018 camry as they get over 50 on the hwy, would prefer a diesel or sporty car to tune and tweak but we will see how the deals fall in line when I'm ready to buy in about 30-45 days.

Just an FYI ... If my math is correct you'll save $4,500 year on fuel with the hybrid. Assuming the new car cost $30k you won't see a savings for 6.6 years.

Essentially you're paying the difference in gas that you would have spent on the 4Runner up front for the new car, assuming that you'll still like the car at 6.6 years and keep it past the break even point to actually see a savings.

Nah, the logic is flawed as you don’t realize I have a note for 3 more years in the 4runner. It’s not much but you have to figure in the reduced maint of a low mileage vehicle, decrease in insurance cost, adding essentially 200 a month to my note and saving over 100 a week in gas. When you figure it up with the actual stats it really makes sense....Also a note that comes out automatically is ALOT easier than seeing 120-140 a week go at the gas station. Have a trade and cash deal possibly going through for a 1st gen with some stuff done that’s running s little rough but an oxygen sensor should fix that as it’s been tested with the sensor removed and it’s runs great... I can weld so... if that was the case my daily would probably become a Nissan Versa or some leftover 2017 that I can get for like 12k or less and just out hella miles on

Miss my Runner but super happy she's being taken care of and growing up!

Tired of this commute and job, actually started looking for something with shorter commute about 3 weeks ago! Got my little Civic Si a few weeks after selling this Runner, already have 31k on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, 3 weeks less than a year too. No wonder you sold her. You'd be broke if you were driving my 5th gen lol.
The 03', "Pearl" as I call her, is running phenomenal, almost scary quick. My butt dyno thinks your exhaust opened up a little more torque than stock. I still have to persuade some inner fenderwell and relocate the tabs for the secondaries resv to clear the 315s from rubbing. The coil over springs are settling in a little so the ride is smoothing out some. Once I have some weight with tools/recovery and a bumper I think she's gonna be a speed demon in the rough stuff.
