2001 4runner SR5, running 265/65/R17's factory size was 225/55r 15 or something like that. When I corner hard on a twisty road or canyon and get on the brakes at over ~35mph the vsc kicks in and makes that annoying beeping noise, if it goes for long enough or you get more on the brakes it pulses one of the front brakes I assume it thinks the vehicle is going into a skid and is trying do its job and assist in stopping from spinning out. My thought is that due to the increased tire size in a corner it thinks the one tire is outrunning the other enough that the vehicle is spinning out.
To prevent this and keep larger tires I did the VCS on/off switch mod but noticed when the switch is in the off position the abs light also comes on. Are all the systems off now? Also from what I've read this should stop the original issue since the system will be off.
