Vent Selector Switch

I had a thread under the title 1997 4runner heating issues. I still have the heating problem but I am getting enough heat now until I can change the core. I have a new problem now, I was using my 4runner to carry the mail in the snow today. Had enough heat to get by but I went to switch the vent from defrost to the center vents, it snapped. So I was going from the far right to the far left and SNAP. I am not sure if the cable snapped or if something the cable attached to snapped. I know something broke somewhere. I have been looking for replacement parts, have not been able to find any parts that the cable connects to. I assume it is a white plastic part, similar to the blend door controls. Also, does anyone know if the vent selector can be accessed and adjusted by hand? It is not going to be above 20 degrees here for several more days, so I would like to have a little info on where the cable attaches to before I freeze my ass off trying to move it by hand.

Found the problem. The cable popped out of place behind the panel where the heater controls are. Easy fix.
