version 5 navigation DVD available

If anyone can burn me a copy of their version 4 navigation DVD, I'll trade you a copy of my version 5. I know some people have been having trouble getting them from dealers.

If you have lots of bandwidth we can send swap disc images over the net too. Let me know via email or PM.

Is this the newest version you are talking about that just came out in Nov? Or you talking about the semi new 5.1 disc that you have and the now older 4.2 disc that you want?

It is 5.1, we just got it about 2 weeks ago so I don't think there's anything newer.

I received a DVD copy that is version 05.03.13, just a hair older than my new one from the dealer (05.03.17). I put it in, and the map data works fine, but for the life of me I can't find the diagnostic screen to install the OS from the DVD.

The only procedure I can find that works is the one where you hold the info button and turn the headlights on & off 3 times. This diagnostic screen is minimal and offers no such function.

Any suggestion????

force boot it... meaning, eject the disc and pull the power from the unit. After you re-establish the connection and you start your car, it'll ask for a nav disc. At that point it'll say something along the lines of "loading, do not turn off". After it loads, try it again.

How do you pull the power from the unit?

easiest way would be to pull the negative terminal at the battery... or look for the fuse that powers the nav unit itself, either under the dash box or in the enigine.
