Saturday night we FINALLY got our first snow in Salt Lake. I was out at about 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot testing out my runner. I tried out the VSC in 2WD and in 4-hi. Then locked the axel and spun around in 4-hi w/o the VSC. This is my first winter w/ my runner and wanted know what to expect. The snow wasn

i believe over on yotatech there is a "mod" for wiring in a button to turn off trac control, check it out and let me know how hard it is, i would love to be able to turn it off from inside the cab...

I did a search there too. The only mod I found was for the 3rd Gen. I couldn't find anywhere how can I do it with 4th Gen. I'd appreciate if someone will guide me to the thread for 4th Gen mod.
By the way, you have 3rd Gen. - '02. This means you may do it.

yeah i might get around to doing it one day, now on to the 4th gen, i dont really know how your trac conrtol works, is it the same as the 3rd gen where it plugs into your master cylinder or no? if it is basically the same, i dont see why the same idea wouldnt work for you

I'm not sure I could have made it from a dead stop on the hill w/o the VSC working for me. Maybe when it snows tomorrow I'll go back out there and test it.
