Vibration from mid-section?

OK, a really strange issue started occurring this evening. I have an 06 v6 limited 4wd and when driving at slow speeds or stopped and turning the wheel while in drive or reverse I notice a vibration that seems to be coming from the mid-section of the vehicle. I don't think it is a grinding, but couldn't say for sure. I have checked things out visually and can't really spot anything and the vehicle performance does not seem to be suffering. I also shifted into all 4wd drive modes and that seemed OK.

I am taking the vehicle in tomorrow to get my lift installed and will have the shop take a look. However, I thought I would get your guys opinions. Thanks! Feeling kinda concerned here.

I would check;

U-joints- try generously greasing them first
Slip yoke- same method above
Is the center diff lock engaged? in 4x4?
Check the oil in the diffs. It may be time to change the oil in them.
Any after market equipment like lockers or limited slip differentials?

Good ideas, which I hope are the problem. This stuff has probably never been lubed, I'm guessing. I will be at the shop in an hour, so I will just ask them to do it this time.

I changed the oil on the diffs shortly after I bought the vehicle, so that should be good. No after market equipment yet.

I hope the issue turns out to be a minor one. It would suck major ass to have a tranny problem, right when you get your lift installed.

Thankfully it was something quite minor. The freaking heat shield on the exhaust had rusted loose and was rattling against it! Yes, this vehicle came from the east coast. Rust has been a little concern of mine in the past, but the shop said that the frame is sound. I am still thinking about power washer blasting it and treating with rust convertor. Can't hurt.

As far as the lift, I am absolutely blown away! It is amazing smooth and cornering isn't nearly as bad as anticipated. Pics soon!
