I'm in the shudder club now
227k on my '05 and now it looks like I'm in the shudder club. I never had a problem until approximately 24 hours after having rear brakes serviced and Virginia State inspection. The brake mechanic lifted the rear only with a floor jack. I thought maybe he cracked a rubber boot on a mount or something. I still don't know, but after reading these posts I'm thinking it may just be a coincidence. I took it to the dealer after the brake job for the free inspection. It was ironic that the dealer recommended a trans flush and changing the fluids in the differentials. I just ignored the diffs recommendation because I had them replaced with Royal Purple two years ago, just not by the dealer. Now when I get up around 25-35 it shudders. I can feel it in the rear end and its pretty noticeable if I don't accelerate through it quickly. Now I look like I'm going for 10 seconds in the quarter mile every time I have a passenger so they don't notice the shaking.
Has anyone had any real luck shy of replacing the TC, and what did you do?
