Vibration Question

Did you get this resolved?

I was searching for a thread on my issues and found yours.

I have the same issue!

Did you get yours resolved?

This is what I have done.

KYB Shocks & Struts

Calipers and Pads
Rack and Pinion
Inner and Outer Tie Rods
Front and Rear Sway
New Alignement
More Balances that I can list

at 70 mph I have a vibration that feels like a balance issue. It comes and goes like yours did. I can feel it in the steering and NTB still has no clue what it is.

The did say that I need to replace my intermediate shaft as that is a cause for some of the slop/play I am feeling. They wanted 1100!!

Thoughts?

man you are in the wrong section, this is for 3rd gen 4runners, you have a 4th gen, totaly different sorry. and the OP is in the middle if trouble shooting, this post is only a day or two old and is a current one, im sure he will figure it out soon, but it wont help you in your search. jump over to the 4th gen section and look over there. but hey good for you for using the search feature, good luck

Quick Update,

I removed the front right tire last night and started to inspect every component, i found out that there is some play in the upper control arm, upon further inspection i discovered that one of the bushings is cracked and that is why there is some considerable play back and foward.

Also the lower control arm bushings look horrible! however there is no play in the lower ones but they deffinetly need replacement soon.

I rotated the disk slowly and i can notice the CV joint is not perfectly straight, i remember hitting a rock so hard one time that the CV joint boot had to be replaced.

Loweb ball joints seem fine as well as the upper ones, however i already got them so i will be replacing them any ways.

You guys think this 2 things could be the root of the vibration?

Since my last post,

I have replaced right CV joint, Upper and lower control arm bushings (right side) Lower ball joints (both sided) and upper ball joint right side.

The good thing, i know my 4runner suspension and steering pretty good now haha, the bad thing i still have the vibration

What else could it be? the symptoms are the same.... it starts at about 60, some times it is strong some times not, it is a medium high frequency some times the shifter and 4wd shifter vibrate and some times it is the steering wheel. It is so weird i don't know what else could it be???

Any more ideas?
