Vibrations- bad engine mount?

I’ve recently noticed increased vibrations when I’m stopped in gear (at a stop sign). Just changed the spark plugs, but the vibrations are still there. Video: 2008 4Runner 230k miles - YouTube

Clip shows (1) startup, (2) revving in drive with brake on, and (3) revving in reverse with brake on.

Does this look like a normal amount of movement?

Car is a 2008 with 230k miles.

Did you replace?

2 years later, and I'm here looking for the same info. :fishing:

Haven't done the "in gear with foot on brake" testing yet, but I noticed a good bit of left or right shift when I put it in drive or reverse. Not sure if it's more then at any time in the past because I never even stopped to notice how much the engine might move when put in gear.

Did you end up replacing yours? Did it change the movement amount at all?

I did the foot on brake + throttle testing. It seemed to move only slightly more then the movement that happens when it's put in drive/reverse. No shake or bounce, it's more that it wants to move but can't. Soooo, I think I'm good.

I'd start with replacing both motor mounts and transmission mount then see what happens. These things are old and probably at the end of their lives.
