Video of new 2019 Nightshade Edition

First time I've seen real images/video of the new Nightshade edition, aside from the stock pics from the Toyota Canada website.

To be honest this is nicer than I thought it would be. I like the smoked chrome but the front end looks a little out of place when the headlights are still "regular" chrome but all the other chrome is smoked.

I was, however, thinking the black interior pieces would be different from just adding the (cheap) high gloss black plastic trim from the lower 4Runner models. I'm not a huge fan of the silver trim, but like it a lot better than that high gloss black.

not too bad, finally have the option to purchase a black roof rack. I already had mine painted a satin black to match the trd pro wheels.

This might be the best looking limited since the refresh I've seen yet. All the chrome needed to be muted, and this does it quite nicely.

I'm actually a little impressed with the look of it.

my old Lexus Crafted Line had the black/white mix like that. I think it looks pretty good. Definite improvement over the regular limited, though not sure it's worth the money....

Agreed, I wish this had been available when I was shopping. It was already enough to acquire a taste for the look of the 4runner, but the limited was a step too far. This looks fine though, and boy, I would have killed for automatic climate control and ventilated seats...

Same feeling, I like it and wish they'd extended that to the badging and other details as well, I think that would look very interesting, something the "distinguished Bros" would enjoy riding in

My dealership had one and it’s already sold. It’s not completely blacked out ,rather it’s like a light layer of black.

I’m probably the minority, but I don’t like this Nightshade version...I actually like the regular chrome pieces.

I noticed on the Nightshade models in Canada, they come with the power running boards like the regular US Limited models.

To me, the projected price premium for a little black isn't worth it, I'd rather buy a regular one and do that myself or have a shop do it for less. I think the Limited looks a lot better with just the TRD Pro wheels and tires, that's sort of a mix between the Limited and the Limited Nightshade I think.

Also...can't help the conspiracy theorist in me, anybody think this is an end-of-model sales ploy to boost an aging vehicle's sales even further before they launch the new one?

When I bought my sr5, I had them swap to a trail radio BC the silver sr5 radio had a big blemish....I am excited I can grab the lower trim to match. Yeah!

besides minor cosmetics and entune, its incredible how little the 4runner has change din 9 years and still going strong!

On one hand I respect it immensely. On the other hand I despise it. There is definitely a way to keep something reliable while still giving it upgrades...Toyota likes to ride the line.

There are automatic running boards too, but other than that, just blacked-out pieces in the interior and exterior.
