Video on the NAV display

Anyone know of how I could use the NAV screen to show video - from a DVD?

I'd love to put 2 screen's in the head rests, but want something for the front passenger. I know it's not 'legal' but any ideas?

Thai - I know they have something for the M5 & M3 NAV called NAV tv - any ideas?

Keep in mind that many of these kits have some type of wire that must go to the parking brake circuit to ensure that videos cannot be watched while the vehicle is in motion. This of course can, and HAS been bypassed by some -- and some folks have been cited. But most responsible drivers wouldn't watch while driving anyhow, rather it could be used by front seat passengers -- but try to convince the nice officer and judge that was your intentions... Maybe if you installed some type of blinder?

By looking at the electrical diagrams... i suppose it is possible, but it will take a lot of work. if you are really interested i will type out all the connections you would need to make and what voltages to use on a switch to think the system is in reverse. Small note.. While you watch the video.. the NAV system would think you are backing up... therefor your tracking and guidance would be messed up (if you need me to explain that.. i can... but basically navigation is handeled by not jsut the GPS.. but also the speed sensor(in forward or reverse) and a gyro. It is a very complex system.. even if you lose GPS coverage (in a parking garage.. it still knows where you are.. it is quite amazing:)

Hey. yea i've been trying to figure that out for a year, since i got my 03. Please let me know if you figure it out. I'd love to be able to play DVD's on it. thanks.
