Vinyl wrapping fender flares?

The clips are replaceable. There's two types. I've got the part numbers somewhere.... There's blue ones and orange ones.

The problem is the back of the fender flare itself; the part that receives the clips. They want to break off from the fender flare, no matter how carefully you remove them. My friend who is a body shop manager tells me that it's not unusual for a shop to epoxy these broken pieces back on to the back of the flare... which is what I did on a number of them. Not ideal.

This is 100% correct information...I just had my entire truck wrapped, and I personally broke the parts on truck down myself. The fender flares are a PITA. They do come off relatively easily, but that's only because either A. the orange and blue clips break, or B. the clip receivers on the inside of the fender flare break. Even once the fender flare is off, the left over clips are a pain to get off of the truck. We had to reattach and epoxy more than half of the receiver portions back into the fender flares just to get the whole thing back onto the truck.

I ALMOST went the route of bolting through the fender flares just to save time, labor, and because I thought it might look cool, but I ended up not doing that. Still torn on if I should have gone that route.

Has anyone just bought new unpainted fender flares from Toyota? I would presume that would be more durable and come in a matte Black un painted finish? Does anyone know the cost of this? Do new clips etc need to be purchased?

The link in this thread isn't working for me. Does anyone know how much a new set of OEM unpainted flares are? I have heard as high as $600.00?
Seems ridiculous?

Haven't checked on OEM, but I saw Bushwackers for 475.00. Something I have thought about.
