Virtual lift / fender cutting?

I've always liked the idea of cutting fenders away as much as possible to fit bigger tires to keep it as low as possible. Anyone ever heard of stuffing some 33's under a 3rd gen with just fender trimming? I'm not opposed to any serious cutting, but just curious if there's any major road blocks to this type of mod. Trying to plan a future for my current family vehicle that will eventually become a family wheeler.

For 33s and no BL, typically a little trim on the pinchweld and the lower-inside trim of the front bumper - depends on your wheel offset, control arms, etc.

A front suspension lift doesn't clear wheels/tires any better than at stock height. The suspension travels the same arc. Only a body lift gives extra body clearance. If it can be cleared at 2" or 3" of lift, it can be done at stock height.

Follow the path of everyone else for clearance and you'll be fine.
