hey guys, whats the install like for thiskit...looks like a sweet addition, i'm thinking about jumping on the bandwagon...can this be done without major tools etc, or is it a dealership piece?

Intakes are pretty simple to install. Volant should've manufactured it to utilize stock mounting locations so it should fit fine. As far as actually doing the job, if you can change your own oil, you can install this kit. All it consists of is removing the stock airbox and tube (requires sockets/wrenche and a screwdriver) and installing the new intake in the factory location and connecting the necessary vacuum lines (instructions are included). Everything that is removed in this installation is replaced (for the most part) so its not like you have to take out a bunch of stuff, and remember where it goes once you install the new part. Should take the average person a half hour to complete.

OUTRNNR, couldn't have said it better.

No cutting or drilling needed on this system, direct bolt on, and it's a direct replacment for the stock system.

hopefully volant kept their promise (2 weeks) this time. I have bad experience with volant.

I want to get a CAI for my 2002 civic, and when i called they said they'll release it in 2-4 weeks (august 2002). A month later i called them again and they said the same thing, 2-4 weeks. After 6 month calling them, i gave up.

Until today, i don't think they have the intake yet, although they have the pictures on their website.
