"Voltage Booster" for 31M AGM Battery

Is anyone out there running the dc power 270 amp, rigtec's wiring mod, along with LOLSNOWs VB booster, or is that absolutely unnecessary? I obviously have limited understanding and my questions will reflect that.

Two out of three? Had the voltage booster already and just put in the 270xp. Consistent recharge on just the "boost" setting. Showing 14.8 at idle. Haven't tried to run over boost since the 270xp was installed. Likely won't need to, but we'll see what this winter brings.

I finally got around to installing my ArcLight voltage booster. I had this part in my backpack for months while I was moving, but didn't bother to install since I was hauling boxes and furniture every day and needed the truck to be as reliable as possible. Here's a before pic of where my alt was hanging at idle

And here is an after. The screen is dusty because I still have the stock radio screen protector on it, but a nice .4 Volt increase at idle will definitely help charge the battery better.

I'm not sure why ,but my maestro displays inaccurate voltage. i installed a volt meter at cigarette jack and voltage is slightly higher then what my headunit with maestro reads.

Good to know, this is just a baseline to see if it was reading higher. I do have a ScanGauge which is much more accurate regarding voltage, however it does not play nice with the Maestro unfortunately

My resting voltage after 24 hours reads 12.2 which I think is low and I'm about to send it in for warranty. Reading the manual it seems I may have killed it prematurely too since the manual states:

For applications where an alternator is present, the alternator must deliver between 14.0V and 14.7V when measured at the Battery’s
terminals.

My engine running voltage with a booster is 14.4 volts and my agm batteries have been working great for years. I have HKB Electronics in two of my toyota's

You don't have to remove the booster to jump. It is safe to leave it in.

I’m using the same one that was recommended from the auto part store.

It's backwards, flip the diode fuse around

Did you try flipping the thing around? maybe that one is directional

Unfortunately I already tired that. I did it both ways then placed the regular 7.5 back and it went away. Any other inputs?

Perhaps you bought the wrong one? Or got a defective one?

The diode is one directional and only works 1 direction

I might have gotten a defective one. I’m positive I picked up the right one though. I swapped it back and forth and even notched the little bump on it.

I have a possibly defective one that I'd be willing to get rid of for whatever the cost of UPS shipping is...

I bought one to use in my Tundra and when flipped to boost or overboost, decreases voltage, however, the GM diode increases voltage appropriately, so I am just using that instead.

There in stock. I bought one two weeks ago installed couple days ago. Works nice.
Also bought the full set of switchable white/red lights these things are awesome and really bright.

anyone using the arclight booster seeing voltage fluctuations? It does not seem to hold steady voltage. In boost mode the voltages seem to be 14.1-14.3, but after some driving it drops down to 13.8. Is this normal behavior? this is in temps between 70-90F
