Volume Level While Driving

hey guys, i've had the 4runner for a few weeks now and i was wondering if it has the technology where the faster you go, the volume automatically adjusts due to the road noise? i've noticed that it does, or maybe it just be my ears lol.

Maybe the newer ones or the ones with the JBL system have that but my 04 with the standard radio does not

You can turn it off also if your so inclined to disable it. I am always driving with the windows down so I like it as the wind noise increases the radio volume goes up and vice versa when you slow down.

Yes. It's called Automatic Sound Leveling, or ASL. The adjustment for ASL (high / med / low / off) is one of those settings like bass, treble, and balance.

My '06 with JBL only has on/off not low, medium, high. What gives?

LOL, Holy cow I hope not....That would be one freaking loud conversation!!! And if people are "talking"that loud my guess would be your not listing to music anyway:jump:
