VSC Both Lights (SOLVED)

SOLUTION: Check your PRNDL2 Speedometer lights, for some reason these effect the VSC computer. If you have one out then replace it or if you are using LED revert back to bulb.

Hi friends, I'm new here. I just finished building my 4Runner and will now be daily driving it . I'm super excited since I went all out with my build, welded front tube bumper, lift, lightbar, new tires, etc.

However, I've ran through a problem.

The car has VSC OFF & VSC TRAC lights. I start the car and they're not there, only appear when you put it in drive and roll a little up then they light up.

I've tried:
Re-calibrating it with the diagnostic port
Check for AndyMod v1 and v2 with nothing there, however I found a Viper remote start (wish I could get rid of it, looks way too complicated to easily remove)

What to do or look for next? I hate having those lights on when I'm just driving

Re-calibrating you mean a zero point recalibration?

Could have an ABS sensor that's bad/dirty.

Fixed the problem and only found a single post online that worked for me. I'll edit into the original one.

Interesting....I'm having VSC issues with the Andy mod done...wonder if one of the lights you mention is out. Come to think of it, I HAD Led's in it, but changed back to incandescent...maybe one of those bulbs is shot. Thanks for posting your fix!!

This is crazy!!!! I've had my VSC lights on just like you ever since I got an alignment.. I tried the zero point calibration a bunch of times with no success..

I would have never guessed that a bulb being burnt out could cause this.. Who designed that?!??!!

But I have had the "D" light out for quite some time when its in gear....

Is this what your solution was?

Interesting....I'm having VSC issues with the Andy mod done...wonder if one of the lights you mention is out. Come to think of it, I HAD Led's in it, but changed back to incandescent...maybe one of those bulbs is shot. Thanks for posting your fix!!

It is very possible! Try calibration first then if that doesn't work then this is more than likely your problem. Start your car and cycle your car from Park all the way down and see which bulbs don't light up.

Make sure you try your calibration first if that doesn't work for you then more than likely its your problem.

The only light out on my speedometer was the "P" light, after replacing the VSC lights disappeared.

The only explaination that I was able to find was that the sole purpose of the VSC's ECU is to monitor voltages and for some reason the speedometer lights bother it.
