I need help please! I have an '05 4Runner Sport Edition and the check engine light and all 3 VSC lights are on. I took it to Autozone to get the code and its reading P0430-converter bank 2, is what the man told me. So, I had the converter replaced and the lights are STILL ON!!! The mechanic tested it yesterday and said that the temp. of the converter is ok and he doesn't know what's going on and is sending me to another shop. Did he just take advantage of a girl and charge me for something I didn't need and now sending me away? Please help me!

Need more info to your story. Did the CEL & VSC lights just go on when you start your car or did they go on while you were driving? 
That code could be anything from your cat converter, 02 sensor, or something in your emissions. Take it to the dealer and see what they say. But yes, i think he took advantage of your money. He may hold an ASE certification but i doubt if he's Toyota certified.

I don't know quite what's happening... Did the replace an O2 sensor as well? Is the check engine light on or off?

No, I was driving down the highway at 70mph and they just came on out of no where.
They didn't replace my O2 censor, but that was the first thing my dad thought it could be. Do you think maybe its electrical? But then, if that's they case, why am I still getting the same code now? And, my check engine light is still on. I am so upset. I thought Toyota's were reliable?!

Toyota's ARE reliable! Your 4R still runs even tho that cel is on, right? Some vehicles don't. If it were me, i'd take one post of the battery off. Wait 15 minutes. While waiting, i'd clean my MAF sensor, check air filter, replace filter if necessary. Then put everything back on and start up. If it's still on, i'd take it to the dealership. Hopefully on my way to the dealership, it'll turn off.

MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor. It's a little square thing that's located close by your airbox (on top of the hose). Do you have a V6 or V8?
