Vsc trac check engine

Ive looked through some of the other threads about this but didn't find anything particularly helpful. Within a year I have replaced my drive-shaft and it wasn't long until the VSC off and TRAC off and engine lights came on after. I took it in and they said it was a problem with the catalytic converter. I call BS because the current catalytic converter isn't even a year or two old. So they reset the codes and I haden't seen the lights come back on until now which is about 2 months later. Took it to Autozone and the code was P0420 "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1" . Just FYI I have a magnaflow muffler if that means anything.

You need a new upstream O2 sensor. That is usually the fix for the p0420

Yeah. You may not get the best mileage though.

Do a forum search for p0420. See what other people do to fix it. Its quite a common code.
