• If you plan to post to Classified forums, you must follow these rules, or your post will be deleted.

    4. Moderators lock Classified Threads that have not had any activity in 90 days or when the part is announced SOLD.
    5. Threads not complying with the rules will be deleted without notice.

WabFab: very poor experience

just my 2 cents. I emailed Wabfab for a set of quick disconnects to make sure they were in stock. He said ya they are and so i stated that i needed them within 2 weeks. he said that ya ill have them shipped out. 4 weeks later and after many emails i finally received them. He does not understand what Customer service is and I would never order from him again. There is almost nothing he creates that someone else couldn't do equally as good or better. Though he feels differently and invincible especially over at Yotatech. I used to go to people like him for parts, but its just not worth it when you have companies like Toytec that are willing to go above and beyond with prices that are reasonable.

This is simply not true. Posts only get deleted when they are posted in the wrong section, or are posted just to bash a seller/vendor (notice some members here do the same thing, posting in threads for sellers they have not done business with). There are many threads currently on YT both good AND bad, and the members have not been banned nor have the threads been deleted. All relevant feedback is left for buyers to make their own decision.

You are correct, I was exaggerating by saying that it "would get deleted, and I'd get banned". I know YotaTech is better than that.

As far as the 'Wabbit is concerned, you can defend him if you want (not that you are). I just know what my experience was, and it wasn't good. Hence my post here. I have dealt with him, and I would never buy from him.


(PS: And I probably do get unnecessarily worked up about this kind of stuff, because I'm in small business myself. It just doesn't take a magnifying glass to see how poorly he runs his, or at least parts of his. His fab shop is probably a fine place to physically take your truck and have him work on it. Great. But you can't do the other stuff, then just don't do it. My .02)

My comment was merely regarding threads on YT.

I neither defend nor admonish WabFab, nor his business practices. I just didn't want anyone to believe YT is unfairly axing threads. :)
 
WabFab Update...

I sent several emails to the "Wabbit" and he did finally respond. His response was one sentence sent from his phone.

"I cancelled your order months ago and refunded your money."

Interestingly: I had an account at WabFab and just the day before this response, I could log on and see my order that was still listed as "pending." I went back to the website after receiving his response and my account had been deleted...

Reviewed all my CC statements from the time I originally placed the order and no refund was ever received from WabFab. Called my bank to have them verify and same story. No refund. So basically, the "Wabbit" stole $121.00 out of my pocket and I assume he's hoping to get away with it. (Be assured that I checked everything possible to verify that Wabbit made no refund before making this statement)

Let the buyer beware
 
I ordered a bikini top may 18th and still have not received it. He claims four to six weeks for making and shipping it. here we are 12 weeks later and still no top. He didn't respond to my last Email in asking him for a realistic time frame. Will never ever order anything nor recommend anyone to do so. Summers almost over here in the PNW. I've been nothing but patient. His website should be more realistic with shipping times He sure us quick to take money. Man I wish I new this before I order from him.
 
I hope you used a credit card. Open a case with the credit card provider and they'll refund your money. Never buy anything on line any more with a debit card or a check. If you don't have credit you can buy a Visa gift card. He's banned here and Yotatech. I'm sure he reads and laughs.

He tried to ban me in nasty colorful language from Yotatech a long time ago. He used to be a moderator before he was banned. Some guy on the west coast had a really nice thread on his 4Runner. A new member posted on the thread, "have you done anything new?" I replied, "he's selling it here's a link to the ad." Wabbit very nastily commented and banned me for a period for "placing an ad outside of the classifieds." And he was an asshat about it. He claimed I was in collusion with the OP. His business reputation is in the toilet and I love it.
 
I ordered $2500-3000 worth of parts from him over the years. One order took almost a year to fill. I don't know what happened to him the last couple of years but he took a turn for the worse.
I would never do business with him again. He has been banned on multiple forums, his customer service skills amount to telling someone to pound sand...
 
My question is how do more people not know about this? And why do people on yotatech kiss the ground he walks on? I decided to do business with killer toy tops,talk about complete opposite experience, Kirk was fantastic, professional fast, easy going and the bikini top is awesome
