So, after doing quite a bit of reading I finally decided to take the first major leap in my build and get a Toytec alumaseries lift installed, along with a snorkle, fuel rims and some BFG 33's. I make an appt to have the work done (don't hate, I get like 5 hrs of sleep per day due to schedule, so no time to work on a truck) and I get a call that the lift kit is out of stock and should be in within a couple of weeks. OK, so I wait and then Toytec is now saying August.
I know that is not that far away but I'm also not 100% sold that they will actually deliver on the stock in August as well. So, the question is, have I oversold myself on the Boss Alumaseries? I don't think the digressive style of the ICONS is a good fit for my truck, given that the vast amount of my driving will be pavement.
The TANK, as it is affectionately known, is my DD and I live on the coast where it floods a lot (my primary reason for wanting the lift and snorkel). Some day when time constraints change I would enjoy doing some off roading but for now, it is mostly about improving the look of my DD.
