I have one, it's fine for what it is. I have used it 15-20 times and have no problems with it at all. It's also very quiet with the fairing. Without the fairing it sounds like a turbo-prop.

I don't use it enough to justify $1,000+ for a Gobi or Baja but they're on my wish list. Haha.

I did not add any sealant or caulk to mine and at two years I am seeing a little rust runs after a rain. No biggie to me because if it falls apart I just might get a nice one.

I have one. Was talking to a guy about it and he thought it was a super nice one. If you're not a big guy you can stand on it. I've never had problems with it. It holds stuff and looks good so that's enough for me! I usually carry a full foot locker, traction boards, two Jerry cans, and another box on it. So plenty of room. I would recommend touching up screw holes with some caulking to avoid rusty water runs as the picture from the other guy shows.

You can mount them to custom brackets.

I think there are others out there. I recall seeing a company that sold low profile feet that fit into the factory "T" slots in our roof racks but I'm having trouble finding that page.

I installed on my 4runner. I didn't move it back much as the rails have stickers that say "noise" something or other if you move it too far back. (Factory sticker indicating where the cross bars need to be positioned)

And I followed the advice to plug all the holes with silicon before screwing in the parts. I also took a can of trim paint to the fairing to get rid of the gloss. I like the small rack, as I have no need for a full length. Plus I get a kick out of putting a cheap $100 rack on a $42,000 car.

I did see one which had the rust issue, and holy cow! It was bad. Long drips of rust running down all corners of the truck.

And at 195 pounds, I was able to stand on the cage without bending anything.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but has anyone found a good tie down system for these style racks?
I have similar Yakima rack and I have the crgo net that goes over it but i still feel like straps are needed with it for carry basic cargo up there
