That is a pretty amazing story. Those melted pistons were something. I remember in College I mis-sifted my motorcyle and the engine reved up to 13,000 RPM, I think 11,500 RPM was red line. I didn't destroy the engine though. Oh, to be young again, AND to do really dumb things.
