Want FJ Shocks and Springs

WTB FJ Shocks and Springs

I am looking to get a set of FJ shocks and springs for my 07 v6 2wd. Does anyone have any or know of a set that is fore sale? If it matters I am in the DFW area.

Check out the classified section over at fjcruiserforums.com

that's where may members here (including myself) have gotten their springs. They also pop up on eBay occasionally.
 
I have a user out at FJcruiserforums who is willing to sale his set of shocks and springs. They have about 15K on them and he is asking 100 for shocks and springs. Is that a reasonable prince and does it matter what version of shocks and springs that can go on the 4runners? I am not to familiar with the FJ's but like for ours do some versions come with better shocks and springs? Is there anything I should ask him about them before I buy them?

The base model comes with Tokico shocks, which are an upgrade from the 4runner's but not a huge amount. The TRD and Trail Teams models come with Bilstein shocks (different ones on each model, both made by Bilstein though). The Bilsteins are preferred, but they also run much higher.

Also, you really need 2009 and prior shocks, they are a direct swap. The 2010's fit, but they do require some modification.
 
As far as price goes, some have been able to get some great deals and even get springs for free, but members have usually been able to pick up springs around $50 or so. Thus, with shocks included $100 is a fair price. Not great, but not bad either. Keep in mind this is still dirt cheap for lift springs and shocks.

The only ones that require modification are the 2010's. Any of the older models will be a direct bolt on swap. If you get a 06-09 you'll be fine. The 2010's have to have the mounts widened along with a few other things.
 
Bout to purchase as set of Shocks/Springs off a 08 FJ Tokico shocks with 15k miles. 100 for the set plus shipping. Had few 2010's for 175 and 200 but not sure if it is worth it getting the 2010s. Now all I need is to find some one willing to help me put them on in the DFW area? Any Tackers will provide Cold beer and dinner. How much lift should I expect with the shocks and springs with the Toytech 1/4 lift. I am assuming I only need to 2 of the Toytech 1/4 for the front the back does not need them correct?

My rig has 70k so should I replace the shocks with the FJ ones aswell?

i recently got a set of bilstein shocks/springs from fjcruiserforums. there's a lot of guys trying to sell them for $200-300 because people will actually buy them at that price. i held out for a couple months and found a set for $200 shipped, which is getting to be a good deal as the price continues to go up. seems like most people realize that there's a lot of 4R owners that want them and they can make quite a profit, but some guys will think of it as selling their old unused parts and be more fair. keep in mind that they'll be around $50 or more to ship, depending on where you are.

ugh, just realized i'm replying to a banned user. oh well, if anyone else is reading - if you live in a more populated area you can probably pick them up for cheap, maybe even free if you pick them up yourself, but that wasn't an option for me.

FYI only reason got banned cause I refreshed multiple windows with my submit in it because I thought my internet was down and it submitted it twice. It was a noob mistake on my part.
 
Question: I believe there are three models of FJ's with silghtly different suspension. I know the shocks differ, but are the springs on FJ's all the same?

Yes, three different models, shocks are different on each. To my knowledge, all three (as long as they are 4wd) share the same springs.
