Do they really take that much of a hurting when they do 15% off that they can't handle a group buy?

I had to ask repeatedly, being really nice the whole time, before they gave me a 5% off code. It's a Mexico product, but like I said before, I'm very pleased with quality. Customer service and response time was excellent.

Yes, most of the racks are built to order. They keep minimal stock. So when they have a sale or a group buy, they have to make sure they have inventory or that theyre caught up w current orders to not bog down the fabricators.

I was hoping to pull the trigger on a Bajarack but I'm having second thoughts. I wish they would get back to me in a timely manner with answers to my questions instead of me calling and calling to get answers that are not even complete answers. And for you guys looking for custom options good luck. You won't even offer me custom options done on my rack that I wanted. Time to go back to the hunt.

Have you tried reaching them by email? I had great customer service thru email..which later turned into them calling me.

They are probably careful to discount their product to often or to much. That tends to devalue the product overall if it is sold at a discount all the time. I work for a small business and people generally do not understand how thin a profit margin most businesses run at. Discounts and group buys can really undercut that margin for little gain for the company.

Oh I forgot to post more pics of my rack. If a buy ever gets put together here, I highly recommend BajaRack. My fiancée and I were sitting on top of it yesterday clay barring the roof in between the bars.

Can the rack be adjusted lower (closer to roof) or is that the lowest it can be mounted?

Not sure if its just me, but it looks different from their site and seems like it undulates in a wave-like motion "outward then inward then outward then inward" again vs their stock photo looks to just go "outward then inward"?

Also, can you share your contact at Bajarack? Id like to ask about a customization. Has anyone here ever ordered the moonroof/sunroof cut out in the long basket style without the cross-section that divides the rack into 2 compartments so that it could still be used as 1 large single space when the moonroof insert is in?

That is strange in the photo... but no, it's a standard ladder. Here's another pic.
