Wanted In Dallas (that's TX Ya'll)

Hey guys,
hoping you can help me out.

I'm looking for a GOOD Toyota Mechanic in Dallas, near the Downtown or Love Field Area.

They don't have to be Toyo Specific but good on T4Rs.
Mine is specifically a 1991, V6 5-spd, 4x4

Reasonable with pricing, I don't mind paying a little extra for good work , but not looking for dealer type prices either.

I'm looking for someone I can use when I can't do it myself cause of time or skill, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Not Dallas but worth the drive for peace of mind. TLS in Euless off 360/183. Fred has worked on three of my 4runners and a few that I have recommended from here as well. Good guy and knows what he is doing and has a clean shop.He worked at a few stealerships in the area as well.

Might be too far from you, but Mastertech Auto in Mesquite is owned and operated by Lonnie Crane a Toyota enthusiast. He has a nicely built 80 series and he has some Toyota guru's on staff too. I'm planning to ride with these guys in the fall. My company uses Mastertech for all our fleet vehicles , which consists of diesel cab overs and gasoline step vans. They can handle it all and have a lot of integrity in what they do. I would trust him with my prized 40 and both my 4Runners

anything you are looking to get done specifically?

JP Euro does all of my maintenance that i just cant quite handle. Jason is the owner/head mechanic. Always fair on pricing and only uses OEM (Toyota) parts.

BaerTrax (yeah is spelled like that) can handle all your offroad needs. Just had him do my re-gearing and dual ARB lockers.

I'm in the same boat (and same general location). I have yet to find a shop to trust with my second timing belt change. That's right folks - I'm about to hit 200k!

I'm in McKinney and will NOT take it to the local DFW dealers. I've heard way too much bad BS about them. I would honestly rather drive back to Little Rock and have Foster's Garage (the place I had do my first TB change) do my next one. Very trustworthy. And yes - worth the drive.

However... if you guys can recommend a shop that you use, or know the owner firsthand and most importantly, does quality work, that's something I would be interested in.:bravo:

I use the Midas at the intersection of Lovers Ln. and the Tollway and I've been extremely happy with them as have the people I've sent there, ask for Junior. One of his mechanics is a former Toyota dealership mechanic. Anything that I don't want to do or have the time to do I send it to him to get done, on both of my Toyota trucks. Great work, reasonable prices, quick turn around. In fact, I was heading to Colorado on a last minute trip and needed my timing belt done. I dropped it off at 1:00 PM and had it back that same day. He's done 2 timing belts for me both cost under $500. He doesn't upsell anything either.

Just had my timing belt for my DD done at JP Euro. sitting at 205K right now. I would have him do the work again. Let us know what you decide to do.
