Warn comes with a remote that can do wired or wireless operation...

Warn has limited lifetime warranty for mechanical parts and 7 years on the electrical whereas the Smittybuilt is lifetime mechanical 5 years electrical, from my research.

I have the 10k Warn Evo winch and has worked well for me. I've maybe used it 6 pulls the past year.

I voted Warn since thats the one I have haha. I have heard good things for both models but in the end, I just trusted the Warn warranty more. Plus being able to get a fluent-english speaking tech person on the phone won out for me...

Are you looking at the steel rope smitty? The synthetic one is supposedly 67lbs

Unless amazon has it listed wrong no. Double checked. 4wp says 67lbs. So idk.

EVO 10-S apparently isn’t made in the US. You have to pony up for the Xenon 10-S apparently. I’m sure the x20 is Chinese made too?

I have the Smittybilt 12K X20. I weighed it whed I did the install and it tipped the scales at 67.5 pounds with the solenoid, synthetic rope and the power cables.

I don't have either (Warn Zeon 10s) but this guy did a decent review, if it was me I would lean toward the Warn - if we were talking $500 -$800 I may have a different opinion. Things like my Rigid lights , I regret spending that much money on but we all make mistakes However I don't think you can wrong with either and I would much prefer a winch of any type vs not having one if needed

I went with the Warn. The price was close enough that the reputation won out. Plus on the Smittybbuilt ( I was looking at the older version), you likely had to swap out the switch, cut off the hook if you wanted to replace it, and I seem to recall something about the fairlead that I would have replaced as well. I don't remember what that was anymore though...

It came out to about the same price in the end.

is the warren water proof similar to the Smittybelt? I am considering the Smitty belt, it comes with a wireless controller. Someone mentioned only wired, but I don't believe that to be the case.

BTW OP - I'm in the same dilemma, I will be installing in a C4 hidden bumper winch. Leaning towards the Smittybelt, cost + water proof + 12k rated + wireless + warranty = win.

I went with the Smittybilt. No regrets, I have needed it several times in the past 3 or so years and it never failed me.

And before anyone give me crap, yes I waited to start pulling until he was back in the car.
