WarnerD9's Build thread

That's funny I've seen this guy twice going the opposite direction on I-215 near the mouth of parleys canyon. Sounds like I need to hunt him down.

I think they are running an ARB bumper and a BAJA rack. It's a great looking rig.

Think that's Narkhelek if I had to guess. Pretty sure I was tailing him down I-15 last week but couldn't catch up before I had to exit downtown...

I found your twin. I had to look close to make sure it wasn't actually you. I'm not sure who this is, but I assume he's somewhere along the Wasatch because he was out with the cruiserheads a couple weekends ago...

That's kind of creepy to see a pic of my truck out of the blue. You don't work for the NSA do you, is that a spy sat pic?? ;)

I was out wheeling with Wasatch Cruisers. The 4Runner did pretty good and didn't get stuck once although the 4 trucks I was grouped with each got stuck.

I can neither confirm nor deny employment with any governmental or quasi-governmental agency :spy:.

I didn't take that pic, I stole it from the trip report on the WC forum :D. I thought it was Warner at first, and then when it wasn't I thought I'd post it anyway. I didn't know it was you, I thought your truck was black for some reason. I wasn't there - I wanted to go on that trip, but the Bastard was/is being a bastard.

I really want to check out your truck, and Warner's too. We should plan a get together this summer. You too, UtahSooner - our crew is almost entirely 1st and 3rd gens, we need a little 5th gen love to show us how the other half does it.

I'm always ready for a wknd adventure. We could hit up Knolls or I've got the 1st gen stashed down in Moab...

Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. I just got off of the phone with CBI to finalize my rear bumper and basically replicated your setup! Thanks brother!

Hey no worries man! You're the one that's been doing the inspiring. You'll be happy with it. @cbioffroadfab is great to work with and they do great work.

And some videos

If you listen close on the Hell's gate video, you can hear the rear bumper stopping the vehicle from going over backwards who knows how many times. Thanks @cbioffroadfab! The first run for pictures was flawless thanks to a focused spotter, and you'll see the results of the second video run with a distracted spotter.

I love the sand draining from the skid plates when you tipped back.

Is all the snow gone? Last time I went, I got shut down by snow on some of the shaded areas, but that was 3-4 weeks ago, and it's been warm since. Hopefully I'll be out that way next weekend, if I get my new bearings installed and get it aligned in time.

There was snow in the LaSals but none on the rocks, it was a perfect day. Hit me up when you're headed down.

Jesus dude, looked like you were going over in the 2nd video. That's badass stuff!

Haha, yeah I think I might have strangled my spotter if he did that to me because he was distracted. I've seen videos of guys rolling in that spot due to bad spotting or too much skinny pedal.

Yeah... Except Charlie is my kid so... My fault for not giving him the baby backpack. Live and learn!
