WarnerD9's Build thread

Where the hell is the dislike button?

Seriously though, it does make sense. If I was putting a lot of miles on every week I'd be looking at getting a second vehicle. I still keep thinking about getting an old 280Z to play with in the summer.

Glad that you're trying to sell it to someone who'll appreciate and use it properly. Around here most of the built trucks get bought by rig pigs who only use them to drive to and from the rig.

Intruder & Jeremy556 need to "thin out the herd" picked up an 03' G500 to do what Jeremy recommended. Not working out so well. It's beautiful a and amazing but it doesn't do it for me.

I'm also selling that. Trying to do the Toyota "lean" thing and eliminate waste.

If you haven't sold your amazing rig yet you should head down to Moab on the Tuesday or Wednesday after Memorial Day, the 26th and 27th. I'll be heading there that Monday night and wheeling all day Tuesday and again Wednesday until around 3:00pm when we need to head back home.

Sold your 4runner yet?

Make sure you post the link to your build thread on IH8MUD Forum of your LC200! I would like to see where you take that thing and what you do to it!

@churma no responses as of yet. No 200 as of yet either.

Considering reconfiguring some things.
D4D conversion? LT front suspension? Major weight loss project?

Ordered an Autohome Maggiolina Extreme.

She's headed to CBI for some new sliders, skids, and rear bumper reconfiguration (dual 1/2 swing arms). Hopefully we can shed some weight.

I'm thinking about ordering a Maggie extreme too.

What size did you go with small or medium?

Why new sliders? I thought you really liked your BB sliders as they saved you from rolling on hells revenge if I recall.

Went with a Medium. Would go with a small if there were just two of us.

Sliders are bent up to where the back doors barely open. Should have gone with the heavy duty but the bump outs add to the leverage that destroys them. Also couldn't afford any more weight.

How did you purchase the Autohome? Just call or email them your order?

Reason why I am asking I emailed them a week ago and no response. Seems strange considering these RTT's are a good chunk of change and I was expecting a little better response.

How was your experience?

I sent an email and called direct. Email didn't go so great but once I caught Mike and Andrew it went very well. They said they were swamped. What state are you out of? UT doesn't have any dealers where they are out of CA, CO and AZ have dealers.

Did you get your maggie yet or change your rear swing out?

What are the advantages of having a 1/2 dual swing out? Wouldn't that be double the more work to open and close the tail gate?

I ended up putting it on the G Wagen since the 4Runner was already shy on power and excess capacity. Even on the G it has a parachute affect.

I was think the dual swing out for two reasons. First for access when I have a hitch bike rack on. Second for weight distribution. I seem to be getting a lean near the swing hate hinge. Main reason for swapping would be for first reason.

WarnerD9 's 2011 TE 4Runner is officially for sale. I will post an add in the classifieds in the next few days. She is having her 80k mile service done along with some other minor maintenance so that she's all set for her next Adventurer. $35k takes her home. She's a solid performer and she's almost broken in. PM me if you are seriously interested, not interested in any other offers. Unless you want to pay more than $35k I am also not interested in parting it out so that whoever gets it gets the complete package. If you've read this thread you know my number is a great deal and that you're buying the mods for a few pennies on the dollar. All maintenance/repairs/installs done professionally and in a timely manner. One of kind machine, don't miss out!

Has not sold yet. Not sure what's happening or where I'm off. Open to constructive feedback.

I'm taking it up to CBI tomorrow to have the sway bars reconfigured with stow and quick release function. I will let them know that many have inquired and are looking to a lifted KDSS solution. I'm thinking of just having rigid, quick release sway bars front and rear and discarding the hydraulic system. Hopefully they can make a marketable product out of it.

Just had the rear control arms rebuilt, no more rice crispy cereal noises while driving.

I'll probably take down to do the north rim of the Grand Canyon in November of I still have it.
