Warped rotors cause ABS stutter?

I've been having issues with my ABS engaging sometimes when I come to a stop if I'm going really slow, kinda just rolling in drive. I know I have warped rotors and yet to replace them. So I just thought about it today, could this be connected?

What exactly happens when your ABS "doesnt engage?" cause if it stutters like the title says then, maybe there is nothing wrong with your ABS, you are just Stuttering because your rotors are warped

The ABS engages when I depress the brake pedal. It kinda goes trrrr and the pedal vibrates and becomes really soft for a second causing the vehicle to lose its braking ability for a moment and then it stops. I'm pretty sure thats what ABS engaging feels like. Btw its a 2002 model with trac/vsc.

This happened to my friend on his sierra if im understanding you correctly. One of his ABS sensors in one of his calipers had stopped working and it confuses the computer which makes everything shut down. Kinda weird but thats what it sound like to me

I didn't get one my ABS sensors seated all of the way and it acted similar to what you are experiencing. I would pull each sensor, clean (wipe off any shavings, dirt, etc), reinstall and see if it resolves your issue. There my be a way to test the sensor with a meter (not sure), but if not I would buy one replacement and begin trial/error testing. Good luck.

Ok so warped rotors that shake your steering wheel when braking anytime (especially noticable going feom 50-0) and ABS fail when on loose dirt, gravel, ice or snow are two totally different things.

Which is it?

My issue is that ABS engages on dry pavement most of the time I come to a stop. I just wondered whether it can be caused by warped rotors.
